Laurus Financial Group LLC

Together, Laurus advisors draw from a collective 67 years of experience managing assets on Wall Street, for non-profits, for the ultra-affluent and more. We’re multi-generational – from Millennial to Boomer – giving us a depth and breadth of perspectives to best assist you at any stage of life. And our team approach emphasizes innovation and A-level service for every client.

Founded by R. Hays Englehart in 2002, Laurus Financial Group welcomed Craig Weinstein in 2012. In 2017, Laurus merged with ICS Wealth Management, founded by Amir Barar, in a powerful partnership that brought more resources to our clients.

All Laurus advisors are independent financial consultants with Raymond James Financial Services, Inc, a registered broker/dealer through which they provide a broad range of financial services and research-based, risk managed investment frameworks that are clear and concise.

Craig Weinstein, AIF®

More than 16 years in the financial services industry has taken Craig Weinstein from Wall Street to the top ranks at major banks to a partnership at Laurus, a truly independent and client-first wealth management practice.

Craig specializes in investment management, overseeing trading, money management, investments, research and model development. Through fact finding and assessing the risk appetite of clients, he crafts customized portfolios. And he believes professionalism and cooperative development are the foundation of any strong financial plan.

Before joining Laurus in 2012, Craig held Vice-President Investment titles at Wells Fargo advisors, WM Financial Services and Citibank Investments. He holds multi-state insurance licenses and FINRA Series 7, 63 and 65 registrations, through Raymond James Financial Services, Inc. Craig studied Business and Finance at Hunter College in New York and is currently pursuing Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) accreditation.

Craig hails from New York City, but left the East Coast to be closer to family and the California sunshine. He lives in Martinez, California with his wife Jamuna, their son Asher and daughter Charlotte. Craig enjoys the outdoors and regularly goes on hikes with his family.  He is a sports enthusiast and an avid golfer as well.  His favorite pastime is letting Hays win on the golf course, as he was always taught to respect his elders.

Amir Barar, CRPC®, AIF®

Amir Barar, CRPC, has worked with some of the largest brokerages in the world, founded his own independent advisory firm -- ICS Wealth Management -- and successfully merged that company with Laurus Financial group to leverage resources and bring value to his clients.

In more than 18 years in the financial services industry, he's built a reputation for knowledge, patience and follow through among a wide variety of clients.

At Franklin Templeton Investments, he serviced the broker/dealer community regarding investment strategies, portfolios and returns of domestic equity, fixed income, government and international investments. As a Morgan Stanley financial advisor, he specialized in investment strategies for high net worth clients. And he continued to grow a loyal clientele at Merrill Lynch. In 2009, Amir founded ICS Wealth Management, to provide a more customized, objective and one-on-one experience for clients.

Amir earned a B.S. from the University of California at Davis and holds a Certified Retirement Planning Counselor designation. He lives in Moraga, California with his wife Michelle and two sons, Jake and Aiden. He's a member of Spark, a non-profit seeking to change patterns of inequality that impact women throughout the world. In his free time, he enjoys road biking, golfing and cross training.

Brandy Lancaster

Senior Registered Client Service Associate

Brandy brings over 15 years of financial services industry experience to our team. She prides herself on offering dedicated and attentive client service with a focus on relationship building as she assists clients with their administrative and operational needs in pursuing their financial goals.

She was previously a Senior Registered Client Associate at Wells Fargo Advisors, UBS Financial Services and began her career at Merrill Lynch in 1998. Brandy has served as the Client Associate Liaison for the region, CA Branch Coach and has functioned as the Branch Manager’s Assistant.

Brandy graduated from the University of the State of New York with a Bachelor of Science degree and is certified in the State of Colorado as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

She has lived most of her life in Colorado and enjoys spending time outdoors – hiking with her dog, backpacking and traveling to new places.

Dan Roeske

President & CEO, TailorMade Wealth Manager

Dan began his professional career in 1996 with CIGNA Financial Advisors. 

In 2003, Dan became a founding partner of LifeSource, LLC along with several of his peers. LifeSource, LLC provided Point of Sale advanced markets and life insurance distribution services for UBS, Raymond James, Wachovia Securities, AG Edwards, and LPL. With a focus on High Net Worth planning, Dan played a key role in offering his qualified advice and counsel on Estate, Business, Tax and Asset Preservation Planning directly to the end client and their advisors. 

After multiple years as a perennial top producer in each organization, in 2008, Dan founded his own boutique practice leaving the large corporate bureaucracy behind. TailorMade Financial was founded with a singular goal – provide a select group of clients and advisors across the country with a level of sophisticated wealth management and financial planning that is second to none. 

Dan resides in The Woodlands, Texas with his wife, Paula and four children, son Kyle and his triplet siblings Madison, Bradley and Kaley. 

Keith Huberman, CFP®

COO & Director of Planning, TailorMade Wealth Manager

Keith began working in the financial services industry in 1989. As a former member of both the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and American Stock Exchange (AMEX), Keith worked as an option specialist and market maker for Spear Leeds & Kellogg. After leaving the daily trading grind, Keith moved to California and began working within the securities litigation arena providing forensic accounting, analysis and professional testimony for law firms around the country. Keith still maintains close ties to the securities litigation/arbitration world and has been engaged as an experienced witness on life insurance related arbitrations/court cases. 

In 1998, Keith transitioned back to financial services. Keith was a founding member of LifeSource, LLC which provided advanced planning services to national wirehouses, independent and regional broker-dealers. In 2009, Keith partnered back up with Dan Roeske at TailorMade Financial, Inc. to begin the mission in providing unmatched planning when it comes to Estate, Tax, Business and Asset Preservation planning to elite financial advisors and their clients. 

Keith attended the University of Florida and the State University of New York. Keith went on to earn his Chartered Life Underwriters degree from the American College and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. 

Keith currently resides in Matthews, North Carolina with his wife Jennifer and two children, twins, Max and Madison. 

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and federally registered CFP (with flame design) in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board's initial and ongoing certification requirements.

Kevin S Graefe

Para-Planner, RJFS

Specializing with assisting our Financial Advisors in customized financial planning for both individuals and families, Kevin brings to the table intimate customer service while helping clients reach for their financial and personal goals.

Kevin has honorably served our country with a career in the U.S. Air Force, achieving the rank of Lt Colonel, he spent collectively 27 years in both active duty and the U.S Air Force Reserves.  Kevin has extensive knowledge and experience in Financial Planning Services from J. P. Morgan Retirement Plan Services.  Kevin formed his own real estate company, The Pathway Team with association to Re/Max Leaders.  He successfully ran that company for 16 years.  In 2019, Kevin headed back to his first love in business…financial planning and serving families and small businesses.    

Kevin has his undergraduate degree in Human Resource Management from University of New Mexico and a Masters of Science in Human Resource Management from Troy State University.

Kevin currently spends his time away from the office playing volleyball, coaching lacrosse and playing golf with family and friends. Kevin is married to his high school sweetheart and is a proud father of two sons.

Grant MacGinty

Senior Para-Planner, RJFS

With a passion for Relationships and Wealth Management, Grant find’s purpose in partnering with clients and being a resource in helping them achieve financial wellness.

Grant got his start in the industry working on Business Development with Victory Capital Fund Management where he was able to work directly with advisors, while also learning the portfolio management side of the industry. He later pivoted towards Financial Planning while working with Legacy Wealth Partners building out financial plans. Grant gained more Industry and Wealth Management experience at Charles Schwab where he worked as a Financial and Investment Consultant, prior to joining Concurrent Advisors.

Grant graduated with a degree in Finance from Baylor University and currently lives in Cherry Creek, Colorado.

Lillian Lopez

Account Executive, Laurus Financial Group, LLC

For Lillian, ensuring that clients feel heard and taken care of is just as important as her administrative duties. “I know this is a fast-paced industry,” she says. “But I take the time to listen to clients – especially retirees, who often have more time to chat – and thoughtfully address any questions or concerns they may have. To me, leaving a positive, lasting impression on clients is more important than simply completing a transaction.”  

Known for her positive and respectful attitude, Lillian approaches all she does with a discerning attention to detail, from opening new client accounts to overseeing money movement requests for her advisor team. That’s one of the many reasons clients trust her. “I think it’s important to trust the people who help manage your hard-earned wealth,” she adds.  

With nearly 30 years of professional experience, Lillian was first drawn to the financial services industry when she was in high school. “My high school government teacher, Mrs. Hawkins, would require our class to read the newspaper from front to back,” Lillian says. “And to help us decipher the business and financial section, she taught us how to read stock quotes, follow and chart companies, and prepare and read financial reports. That was fascinating to me. So when I went out into the ‘real world’ searching for my first job, I knew it had to be at an investment firm.”  

Before joining Raymond James in December 2019, Lillian held a variety of roles within financial services, including as a senior office manager and accounts supervisor, a payoff specialist, and an international senior client service associate.  

Outside of work, Lillian enjoys vintage shopping, looking for beauty in things that others may not and breathing life into discarded items by finding creative ways to repurpose them. She was born in Charleston, South Carolina, and raised in Puerto Rico until age 11. After a stint in Portsmouth, Virginia, she moved to San Diego, California, where she resides with her husband, Marco, and daughter, Isabella.
