Catherine Avery brings more than four decades of institutional investment experience, with a focus on disciplined portfolio construction, risk management, and long-term capital stewardship. After beginning her career at Oppenheimer Funds while earning her finance degree, she advanced quickly to Portfolio Manager at Hutton Investment Management (EF Hutton) and later held senior roles at Prudential Securities and Dean Witter (now Morgan Stanley Investment Management), managing institutional portfolios and investment teams.

In 2007, Catherine founded Catherine Avery Investment Management (CAIM) to provide institutional-quality, dividend-focused strategies to individuals and families seeking consistency, income, and downside awareness across market cycles. Her approach aligns closely with Laurus’ planning-led philosophy—integrating investment discipline with thoughtful, long-term financial decision-making.
